Nudecentric Briefs: Last Minute Shopping

THE ONLY REASON FOR A NATURIST/NUDIST TO OWN A PAIR OF HOLIDAY BOXERS OR BRIEFS IS TO TAKE THEM OFF!

SHOP QUEER OWNED

The season of giving and gift exchange has many frantically rushing from store to store or from website to website searching for last minute gifts. Others traditionally wait for the last week before the winter holidays until they actually begin tackling their shopping list. Then there are those who procrastinate hoping to take advantage of the last minute sales that retailers usually offer. If you're among this crowd, no matter the category that you belong, I'd like to suggest to "shop community."

Shopping community is no more than making it a point to patronize local and national GLBT businesses for those remaining on gift lists. Make this festive time of year a time to pay-the-gay shops and establishments that often generously support causes and events within our own community.

More likely than not, these are local retailers and probably owned by friends and neighbors who are also our GLBT brothers and sisters. They are the ones who our community looks to first whenever we need financial support for community activities. These are the ones who promote our cultural, health-related, social and political endeavors often with no monetary compensation. In some instances, they provide unused space or after-hours access when we need a place to meet or host a fundraiser.

These merchants are struggling in the sluggish economy as are we all. Now's an opportunity that we, the GLBT people who've benefited from their generosity throughout the year (and in the past) to demonstrate our gratitude and give to them our business and to support their business during this high volume shopping period.

GIFT IDEAS FOR NUDISTS

No clue as to what to give the social nudists brothers that we hang loose together all year long? A couple of simple ideas for presents that are both thoughtful of our preference to live clothes-free and that are useful for our nakedness. Lanyard/necklace style key chains are relatively inexpensive and offer a solution to the dilemma of what to do with our car/house keys. These can be personalized by selecting one that reflects a favorite sports team, alma mater or nakation destination.

Fanny-packs or hip-pouches offer the utility of a pocket when nude. Somewhat pricier than a key chain, these come in a variety of styles to fit different budgets. The less costly are the ones made from nylon and the high-end ones are made in leather. Finally, hand towels are always useful for providing a barrier between or bodies and the furniture when we sit. Prices vary based on where purchased and quality. Some can be monogrammed for a personal touch.

Shop safe and shop queer-owned or gay-friendly!

Peace! Get naked. Enjoy!
